Meeting Description
- This activity has been designed to meet the continuing educational needs
of physicians, PhDs, respiratory care professionals, sleep technologists,
and other allied healthcare providers involved in the care of patients
with sleep disorders, as well as residents in training and students. This
activity has been planned to increase knowledge and understanding of
current diagnostic and therapeutic trends in sleep medicine.

Daniel Brown, JD

Dan
Brown is a health care attorney in the Atlanta, Georgia, office of the
international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP. He focuses his practice in
the areas of health care, mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, and
finance. As a key member of the firm's Health & FDA Business and Corporate
& Securities Groups, Dan has extensive experience advising clients on the
legal and regulatory issues impacting hospitals, physician groups,
ambulatory surgery centers, sleep laboratories, dialysis clinics and
independent diagnostic testing facilities. He has over 15 years
experience dealing with state and federal privacy, reimbursement,
self-referral, anti-kickback, and licensure laws as they relate to the
structure and operation of healthcare businesses. Dan represents a
variety of providers of sleep medicine, ranging from regional providers to
owner-operators of stand-alone and hospital based sleep centers. He
advises health care providers in their expansion, reorganization and
provision of health care services, as well as compliance with fraud and
abuse and HIPAA regulations. Dan is a member of the Board of Directors of
the National Sleep Foundation, a member of the faculty of the Atlanta
School of Sleep Medicine and Technology, and has been recognized The
Atlanta Business Chronicle in the "Dealmakers" special section, 2009.

Jayme
Matchinski concentrates her practice on health care and corporate law. She
handles regulatory compliance, reimbursement, licensure and certification
issues affecting health care providers, health care transactions, and the
purchase, sale and formation of health care entities. She has also
successfully represented health care providers in reimbursement claims
against insurance carriers and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid
Services.
Ms. Matchinski works with physicians, as well as not-for-profit and
for-profit health care systems in the licensure, certification, legal
structure and reimbursement structuring of post-acute venues of care,
including sleep disorder centers, rehabilitation hospitals, ambulatory
surgery centers, long term acute care hospitals, skilled nursing
facilities, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation facilities, nursing
